Terms of service

The agreement between your family and ours, written so you can actually read it.

Last updated: 1 August 2026

These terms apply to care services provided by Namaste Seniors Care Services Private Limited ("we", "us") in Bengaluru, India. By subscribing to a plan, you agree to them. "You" means the person who pays for the subscription; "the senior" means the parent or elder being cared for.

1. What we provide

We provide non-medical elder care: a Care Manager, trained caregivers, coordination with doctors and hospitals, and a 24Γ—7 emergency response service. Exactly what is included depends on the plan you choose, as set out on our pricing page.

We are a care and coordination service, not a hospital, a nursing home, or a medical practice. Our caregivers are not nurses and do not give injections, dress wounds, or manage catheters. We do not diagnose illness or prescribe treatment β€” the doctors we connect you to do that, in their own professional capacity.

2. The senior's consent and dignity

Care begins only once the senior has agreed to it. They may refuse any visit, any task, or any piece of equipment at any time, and they may end the arrangement themselves. Nothing in these terms lets a family member override the senior's own wishes about their care while they have capacity to express them.

3. Fees and payment

  • Plan fees are billed monthly in advance on your joining date.
  • Extra services β€” additional caregiver hours, doctor home visits, physiotherapy β€” are billed after they happen, at the rates published on our pricing page, and only when you have approved them in advance.
  • Third-party costs such as medicines, hospital fees, diagnostics, and ambulance charges are yours to pay at their actual cost. We do not mark them up, and we provide receipts.
  • A refundable deposit of β‚Ή2,000 covers the SOS equipment and is returned when it comes back in working order.
  • If payment fails, we will contact you. Care continues for 14 days while it is sorted out; we will never stop emergency response without telling you first.

4. Changing or cancelling

You may cancel at any time by telling your Care Manager or emailing us. There is no lock-in and no notice period: service runs to the end of the month you have paid for, and nothing renews after that. Upgrades take effect immediately and are pro-rated; downgrades take effect from your next billing date.

We may end the arrangement, with 30 days' notice, if the senior's needs have grown beyond what home care can safely provide, or if our staff are subjected to abuse or unsafe conditions. In either case we will help you move to a suitable alternative and refund any unused portion of the month.

5. Emergency response β€” what we promise

We commit to answering an SOS activation within 90 seconds and to dispatching an ambulance as fast as it can be arranged, with a target of 15 minutes on Care Premium, 20 on Care Plus, and 30 on Care Essential.

Response times depend on traffic, ambulance availability, and hospital capacity β€” real conditions we do not control. We commit to acting immediately and competently; we cannot guarantee a particular arrival time or a particular medical outcome.

6. Your responsibilities

  • Give us accurate and current information about the senior's health, medicines, and allergies, and tell us when it changes.
  • Make sure our caregivers can safely enter and work in the home.
  • Keep at least one alternative emergency contact on the care plan, reachable in India.
  • Approve extra services before we book them.

7. Our staff

Our caregivers and Care Managers are our employees. Please do not offer them private employment, cash payments, or work outside the plan β€” it puts their job and their verification status at risk. If you would like more hours, ask your Care Manager and we will arrange it properly.

8. Liability

We are liable for harm caused by our own negligence, and we carry professional indemnity and public liability insurance for that reason. Nothing in these terms limits liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that cannot lawfully be limited under Indian law.

We are not liable for the clinical decisions of independent doctors and hospitals, for the acts of ambulance operators, or for medical outcomes that would have occurred regardless of our involvement. Except where the paragraph above applies, our total liability in any twelve-month period is limited to the fees you paid us during that period.

9. Complaints

Tell your Care Manager first β€” most things are fixed the same day. If that does not resolve it, email complaints@namasteseniors.in. We acknowledge every complaint within two working days and give you a written answer within fourteen.

10. Privacy

How we handle your family's personal data is set out in our privacy policy, which forms part of these terms.

11. Changes to these terms

We will give you at least 30 days' notice by email before any material change. If you do not accept a change, you may cancel before it takes effect and we will refund any unused portion of the month.

12. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of India, and the courts of Bengaluru, Karnataka have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute.
