The questions families actually ask us.
Grouped by what you are worried about. If your question is not here, call us on +91 88916 49495 β we would rather answer it properly than have you guess.
Getting started
How quickly can care begin? +
Most families are fully set up within a week. The first call happens the day you contact us, the home visit within two or three days, and caregiver visits usually start inside seven days. If your parents have just come out of hospital, we can move faster β tell us and we will.
My parents don't want help. What do I do? +
This is the most common thing families tell us, and it is normal. Nobody wants to be told they need looking after.
Our first visit is not an assessment. It is a Care Manager coming for coffee, listening, and letting your parents decide what they want help with. Most start with something small and practical β the pharmacy run, a lift to the doctor β and widen it themselves over the following months. We never push, and your parents can say no to anything.
Do you cover my parents' area of Bengaluru? +
We currently serve all of Bengaluru inside the Outer Ring Road, plus Whitefield, Electronic City, Yelahanka, and Kanakapura Road. If your parents live a little further out, call us β we can often still cover it, and we will tell you honestly if we cannot serve them properly.
Which plan should we start with? +
Most families start with Care Plus, which is why it is the most chosen. If your parents are independent and you mainly want a safety net, Care Essential is genuinely enough β and we will say so on the call rather than sell you more. You can move up or down at any time.
Can I set this up without flying to India? +
Yes, and most of our families abroad do exactly that. You join the home visit by video, approve the care plan online, and pay in your own currency. See For Families Abroad for the full thirty-day plan.
Care and caregivers
Will it be the same caregiver every time? +
Yes β the same one or two people every week. That is the whole point. If your regular caregiver is ill or on leave, we tell you who is covering and why, before they arrive, and we introduce them to your parents rather than sending a stranger to the door.
How are caregivers trained and checked? +
Six weeks at our own academy, covering elder care, medical basics, first aid and CPR, dementia care, and ten supervised visits β followed by an assessment that roughly one in three trainees does not pass. Every caregiver clears police verification, an independent criminal record check, address and Aadhaar confirmation, two spoken references, and a medical screening. The full detail is on our About page.
What if we don't get along with the caregiver? +
Tell your Care Manager and we will change them, no explanation needed and no awkward conversation required. Personality fit matters more than any qualification in this work, and we would rather swap early than have your parents quietly put up with someone.
Do caregivers speak my parents' language? +
Our team covers Kannada, Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam, and English. We match caregivers to your parents' first language β for many of the seniors we look after, being able to chat comfortably is the difference between tolerating a visit and looking forward to it.
Can you help with dementia or Alzheimer's? +
Yes, for early and moderate stages. All caregivers complete a dedicated week of dementia training. For advanced dementia needing round-the-clock supervision, we will be honest with you about whether home care is still the right answer, and help you look at the alternatives.
Do you provide nursing or medical treatment? +
Our caregivers are trained in care, not nursing. They take vitals, manage medicine schedules, and spot warning signs β but they do not give injections, dress wounds, or manage catheters. When that level of care is needed we arrange a qualified home nurse through our hospital partners and coordinate it for you.
In an emergency
What exactly happens when the SOS button is pressed? +
A Care Manager is talking to your parents through the SOS unit's speaker within 90 seconds. If an ambulance is needed it is dispatched immediately, with a 15-minute target on Care Premium. You are called β not texted β at the same time. Your Care Manager meets the ambulance at the hospital and handles the admission.
Is the emergency line staffed at night? +
Yes. The emergency desk is staffed 24 hours a day, every day of the year, including festival days. The daytime Care Manager hands over to the night team at 9 PM IST and picks it back up in the morning.
What if my parents can't reach the button? +
Every home gets two units: one fixed by the bed and one on a pendant or wristband. On Care Plus and Premium we also fit motion and door sensors, so if there is no movement at all during hours when there normally is, our desk calls the house and then sends someone.
Which hospitals do you work with? +
We have arrangements with Manipal and Narayana hospitals, plus local nursing homes near each area we serve. If your parents already have a hospital they trust and a doctor who knows their history, we use that one β your preference is written into the care plan, not ours.
Who decides on treatment if I can't be reached? +
Your parents do, whenever they are able to β it is their decision, and we never sign consent on their behalf. We keep trying you and the second contact on your care plan, and put you on video with the treating doctor before anything non-emergency is agreed. In a genuine life-threatening emergency, doctors act on their own clinical authority, as they would for any patient.
Money and billing
Are there any hidden charges? +
No. Your plan price covers everything listed in it. Extra caregiver hours (βΉ450β650/hr), doctor home visits (βΉ1,500β3,000), and physiotherapy (βΉ800/visit) are charged only when you approve them in advance. Medicines, hospital bills, and ambulance charges are third-party costs that you pay at their actual price β we never add a margin, and we share the receipts.
Can I cancel any time? +
Yes. Call your Care Manager or email us. There is no lock-in and no notice period beyond the month you have already paid for. We collect the SOS equipment and refund your βΉ2,000 deposit.
How do I pay from outside India? +
Monthly on your usual card, in US Dollars, UK Pounds, or UAE Dirhams. The exchange rate is fixed on your billing date and shown on the invoice alongside the rupee amount. Siblings in different countries can each be billed a share.
Do you accept health insurance? +
Indian health insurance does not usually cover home care subscriptions, so the honest answer is no β most families pay for this directly. Where a hospital admission or a doctor visit is claimable, we help you assemble the paperwork at no charge.
Privacy and your family's data
Who can see my parents' health information? +
Their Care Manager, the caregivers who visit them, and the family members your parents have named β nobody else. Our own staff outside that circle cannot open your parents' records.
Do you sell or share our data? +
Never. Not to advertisers, not to insurers, not to data brokers. We share information with a hospital or doctor only to get your parents treated, and only what is needed for that. See our privacy policy.
Are there cameras in my parents' home? +
No, and we will not install any. The optional sensors detect movement, doors opening, and the medicine box being opened β they record no images and no sound. Your parents are told exactly what each sensor does before it is fitted, and can have any of them removed.
Can we get our data deleted? +
Yes. Under India's DPDP Act 2023 your parents can ask for their personal data to be corrected or erased, and we act on that within 30 days. We keep only the medical records that Indian law requires us to retain, and nothing beyond that.
